Bloomfield Schoolhouse Lavender and Acres Away Winery Release First-Ever Collaborative Wine
Bloomfield Lavender White, a small-batch white wine infused with Indiana-grown lavender, launches April 18th in LaGrange
LaGRANGE, Ind., April 10, 2026. Bloomfield Schoolhouse Lavender, a lavender farmstead and apothecary based in LaGrange, Indiana, and Acres Away Winery, a boutique winery in Ashley, Indiana, have announced the release of Bloomfield Lavender White, a limited-edition small-batch white wine crafted in collaboration and infused with lavender grown and harvested on the Bloomfield farm.
The release marks the first wine produced under the Bloomfield Schoolhouse Lavender name and the first formal collaboration between the two northern Indiana businesses. Bloomfield Lavender White is a crisp, refreshing white wine with subtle floral notes, designed to pair with grilled pork, sharp cheeses, baked brie, and honeyed apricots.
A Collaboration Rooted in Community
The partnership between Bloomfield and Acres Away Winery began with a shared appreciation for small-batch craftsmanship and a curiosity about what lavender and wine could create together. Over the course of more than a year, the two businesses worked closely to develop a blend that honors both the character of the wine and the lavender grown on Bloomfield's LaGrange farm.
"This wine is a reflection of everything we love about what we do and where we live," said Marion Wiggins, founder of Bloomfield Schoolhouse Lavender. "Working with Shane, Kirk, and the entire Acres Away team has been one of the most rewarding creative experiences we have had. We are so proud of what we made together and we cannot wait to share it with our community."
Acres Away Winery owner Shane Christ and winemaker Kirk Etheridge led the production of Bloomfield Lavender White at the winery's facility in Ashley, Indiana. The wine is produced and bottled by Acres Away Winery using locally grown grapes and Bloomfield-harvested lavender.
Launch Events Open to the Public
Bloomfield Schoolhouse Lavender will celebrate the release with a series of public events throughout April and May.
The first pour takes place on Saturday, April 18th from 12 to 5 PM at the Bloomfield Schoolhouse Lavender Apothecary in downtown LaGrange. The event is free and open to the public. Complimentary tastings will be poured throughout the afternoon, and Shane Christ and Kirk Etheridge of Acres Away Winery will be on hand to share the story behind the wine. Light refreshments will also be available.
A second public celebration will be held on Saturday, April 25th at Acres Away Winery in Ashley, Indiana, where Bloomfield Lavender White will be available for purchase alongside Bloomfield products and gift sets.
A third, ticketed VIP experience is planned for May 3rd at Acres Away Winery, featuring a guided tour and curated tasting for Bloomfield's top customers and Acres Away Wine Club members.
