Meet Reace: The Heart Behind the Day-to-Day at Bloomfield
Every farmstead has its rhythm, and at Bloomfield, much of ours runs through Reace.
If you've stopped by the Apothecary, picked up an order at a market, or exchanged a friendly email with us, there's a good chance Reace was the one behind it. As Brand Manager, she works alongside Marion in nearly every corner of the business, and she's become one of the most familiar faces of Bloomfield Schoolhouse Lavender.
We thought it was time you got to know her a little better.
From Purdue to the Schoolhouse
Reace is 24, a graduate of Purdue University Fort Wayne with a bachelor's degree in Organizational Leadership. Her path to Bloomfield wasn't planned so much as discovered. She met Marion through The Arc, where Marion served on the board alongside Reace's mom. What began as a simple introduction quickly turned into something much bigger.
"From that moment on, something just clicked," Reace says. What started as a connection grew into something deeper, both personally and professionally.
Right-Hand Woman, and Then Some

Today, Reace works closely with Marion across every part of the business, from product development and brand storytelling to events, customer care, and the hundred small things that keep a farmstead humming. Many would call her Marion's right-hand woman, a title she wears with pride.
But the bond reaches well beyond the workday. Reace has been welcomed into Marion's family, helping care for her children and sharing in the everyday rhythms of life. That closeness is part of what makes the work here feel different. It's not just a job. It's a shared life.
Why Bloomfield
Ask Reace what she loves most about Bloomfield, and she doesn't hesitate.
"It's the heart behind it. It's more than a business. It's about restoring historic spaces, bringing new life and experiences to LaGrange County, and creating a place where people feel safe, inspired, and connected."
Being part of something both beautiful and purposeful is something she doesn't take lightly, and you can feel that care in everything she touches.
Life Outside the Schoolhouse
When Reace isn't at Bloomfield, life is still full, a little chaotic, and always full of love. She's usually staying active, spending time on the lake, or surrounded by animals. Her own crew includes three English bulldogs and two cats, and she also cares for a small stray cat colony.
She loves crafting, has a soft spot for a good documentary, and is always looking for small ways to make everyday life feel a bit more special. And if you're ever planning a meal in her honor, go with Asian cuisine. It's always at the top of her list.
Say Hello
