The Essential Oil Station: Blend Your Own at Our LaGrange Shop

One of the dreamiest little corners of our shop is the essential oil station. It is a long display of single-note oils, frankincense, rosemary, grapefruit, clary sage, lavender, peppermint, ylang ylang, and more, set out and ready to play with. Around it sit our unscented body butters, sugar scrubs, hand creams, car diffusers, bath salts, and bubble baths, all waiting to be blended into something that is entirely your own.

Make it yours

One of our favorite little secrets is that you can customize nearly anything in the shop. Love our lavender lotion but want a hint of lemon for summertime? Add a few drops. Want eucalyptus tucked into your bath soak after a long day? Make it yours. Every blend tells its own story, and no two have to be alike.

The bath salt bar invites you to sprinkle in drops of your favorite oils, while the unscented bases give you a blank canvas to work from. Whether you lean toward earthy and calming or bright and citrusy, there is a scent for every season and mood.

Why we keep the oils out and ready

A lot of shops keep their testers behind the counter or sealed away. We do the opposite. The oils are always out and ready because we believe apothecary living should feel whimsical, comforting, and entirely your own. Half the joy is in the experimenting: lifting a bottle, breathing it in, deciding it needs a little something brighter, and trying again until it feels right.

It is a slower way to shop, and that is the point. The station gives you a reason to linger, to smell your way through the seasons, and to leave with something that feels made for you rather than picked off a shelf.

The essential oil station is something we can only offer in the shop. It is hands-on by design, and there is no way to bottle up the experience of standing at the bar, blending as you go.
